LAST DAY OF SCHOOL (6 YRS OLD)

S last day of school was Wednesday. Mama and S rushed to make it in time for the talent show. Lily G. and S did a "salsa" dance performance, led by Lily. The dance was better than expected, according to daddy.

After lunch time, She was a bit teary eyed saying good bye to her teachers and kept coming up to hug Ms. Eliza and Ms. Anneke. The kids all went into the classroom for one final good bye and signed each other's journals.

It was a wonderful way to end the school year and mama and daddy are both happy to know that S will be back for another school year at AHB.

BIRTHDAY PARTY (6 YRS OLD)

Mama and daddy went all out this year in the backyard, setting up sprinklers, slip and slides, and filling up water balloons for S's 6th birthday party. The theme was "wipe-out" based on the TV show, minus the $50,000 grand prize and the big red ball. S and her five friends (Odessa, Talia, Jo-Jo, Maria, and Clara) got into the spirit of the obstacle course and really enjoyed themselves. The daddies did too with the shaving cream and water balloons. When asked what she liked best about her birthday party, S said "everything!"

S said afterwards that she wanted next year theme to be "Dirty Job" and everyone could throw and catch fish, like Mike. Mama hopes that's a joke.

HER OWN MONEY (ALMOST 6 YRS OLD)

With her own money, S has bought a ice cream sticker book and colorful hair extensions at Michael's. It's been awesome that she has earned her own money.

She likes bringing her own money when she goes shopping to HEB or Michael. She often buys the $1 trinket and she deserves it, especially since she earns it one nickle or dime at a time.

RECITAL (ALMOST 6 YRS OLD)

S had her first piano recital last week. She played wonderfully, except for some minor misunderstandings. Ms. Robyn and she did not play a duet together as planned. Both were confused about the timing. She and daddy did a wonderful duet together, but  S forgot two more rounds of the song "This Man Is So So Mad." Overall, she was marvelous! She's definitely braver than mama is about performing.
