FIRST MEAL (26th WEEK)

"S" had her first meal this week: two spoons of rice cereal with mommy's milk. She looked so enthusiastic when the spoon and bowl were placed in front of her. She tried to grab the spoon away and hold it herself. After her first spoonful, her entire face scrunched up with surprise. She was willing to do a second tasting, but after that she would have no more. "S" did love her water from her sippy cup afterwards.

Surprisingly, she wanted to do it again! Her second meal was similar but this time she did one more spoonful before stopping. Mealtime is going to be a fun experience. "S" is so expressive about her eating: face crinkles, smiles, yells, talks, cries, waves arm,... and looks surprise. Can't wait until she tries sweet potatoes or bananas!

FIRST NIGHT OUT (25th WEEK)

Mimi and Poppy volunteered to baby-sit "S" for the first time while momma & daddy slipped out to have dinner. Daddy predicted that everything would go well and momma was worried that she would walk into the house finding a crying "S" in the living room.

Dinner went fine and Mimi and Poppy said they would do it again. So, what happened? Did it go as predicted by daddy or was momma's fear come true...Good thing... "S" is just a baby!

24th WEEK STATUS

"The big feat for the week is "S" rolling over during scoochy time. She had been teasing those around her -- by partially rolling over, one leg over or upper body was over. To make sure, momma knew that this was no mistake, S rolled over eight times in a roll and continued to roll over for the rest of the week during scoochy time.

However, when she does get to her tummy, "S" lets out a scream and pumps her legs and arms real hard, but still hasn't figured to get back from where she started again.

First rollover: Thursday, November 2, 5ish in the afternoon
