EXCUSES, LAZINESS, & PROCASTINATION (4 YRS OLD)

Momma is surprised by S's frequent response of, "I don't know how" or "It's boring" when she doesn't want to do something. This morning, S didn't want to brush her teeth so she asked momma to do it for because she didn't know how. That's funny because S brushed her teeth fine by herself the night before.

A couple of weeks ago, momma asked S to pick up a napkin that fell off her lap. S responded with, "I don't know how" which caused momma to laugh. When S agreed to put away the silverware to earn some money, half way through she stopped and walked away saying, "it's boring." She even told the teachers at Starbright that she didn't know how to spell and write her name which she has been doing since she was three-ish.

Momma's not sure what to make of all of this. She misses the enthusiastic help that S use to provide. Momma guesses this is "norm" until S moves out and figures out the only person to put away her things will be her. And of course, the solution is to not let S get away with this!
