MONEY (4 YRS OLD)
S seems to like the idea of getting paid for doing chores. Last week, she helped with the laudry (loading the machine, putting in the detergent and turning it on) as well as putting away the silverware. She loves counting her money but doesn't quite understand that each coin has a certain denomination. Despite this, she's a hoarder. She doesn't understand the denomination but does understand that money has value. Last time, when she collected up to $9, she went and bought herself "magic sand" from Toys R Us.
In relationship to money, last week, she came up to momma and said, "You're a good momma. Let me pay you." Momma responded that she didn't need to pay her because, "daddy's is generous with me." S came up, asked momma to put her hand out and then proceeded to put pretend money into her palm.
