RAMBUCTIOUS MAEGAN (22 MONTHS)

This is an old story that happened around 22 months. Background: If S could say who her favorite friend was she would say it was Maegan. But sometime after 18 months, S had a hard time dealing with M's ramunctiousness and high-spiritedness. Every time M came to hug S it was more like a body slam. After awhile, everytime M came within a couple feet of S, she would cry out. In defense, M isn't mean-spirted, but often she's just more physical than her toddler friends are.

One night, while putting S to bed, S said, "M hit S." Momma was taken by surprised and responded with: "Yes, M hits S. Does S hit M?" There was a long pause and S responded with "Yes."

Ever since, S has been getting along better with M. Momma isn't sure if this conversation helped, but it was very hard not to laugh during this "heartfelt" exchange.
